The plot is situated on sloping terrain with a fantastic view over the Trondheim fjord to the north. The upper part of the plot has a flatter character and is well suited for use as an outdoor area. The house is designed as a narrow building body laid along the existing terrain to minimize impact on the terrain. The house has a rational layout and was planned so that the owner  could carry out part of the work himself.
