New residential development of terraced housing in Ranheim.
Next Project →
Three of the five development phases at Reppetoppen in Trondheim consist of terraced houses designed by Arkitekturfabrikken. During the final phase of the project, the idea of the micro houses emerged, responding to a need for a broader housing typology between traditional terraced houses and apartment buildings.
The 70 m² micro row houses offer the qualities of a detached home in a compact and space-efficient format. Despite having a floor area comparable to a typical two-bedroom apartment, the homes feel generous and well-proportioned. Particular emphasis was placed on creating a strong relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces. Generous ceiling heights, large window openings and double doors to private outdoor areas on both sides of the dwelling create bright living spaces with an open, airy character.
