This cabin is a new-build project located in Kilvamma, Sweden, positioned on the boundary where the forest opens towards the lake. Its secluded setting, far from everyday activity, gives the site a distinctive atmosphere. The cabin is placed to create a natural meeting point with close contact to nature and open views towards the water.
Materials and colours are chosen to reflect the surrounding landscape. Within a compact footprint, the cabin accommodates all modern facilities through bespoke, space-efficient solutions that make full use of every square metre. Moving through the interior, one experiences a gradual transition from the calm of the forest to the openness of the lake. The architecture engages in a quiet dialogue with the landscape, supporting a simple and retreat-like cabin life.
