The client wanted a modern two-storey detached house, where the main part of the home accommodates the family’s everyday life, and a smaller portion of the lower level is accomodates rental units for students. This distribution provides both flexibility and an efficient use of the site’s potential.

The plot offers a rare combination of views, openness and abundant daylight. The design builds on these qualities and seeks to frame them in a calm and natural way. The house is conceived as a low-key volume that settles into the terrain without dominating its surroundings. On the main floor, the plan is organised around a generous living area with large window openings facing the view, while more private functions are discreetly set back. Materials and detailing are kept simple and warm, with an emphasis on robust solutions suited to everyday family life.
